Owedly privacy policy

A short policy for a collections SaaS. No scare tactics — and no selling PII.

• Who we areOwedly is a collections desk SaaS (buyer desk, Resolve, Collect Exchange, Chargeback Hub). This policy covers the owedly-buyer web app and related APIs.
• What we collectAccount and desk data you place or upload (names, balances, contact points, notes, letters, payment metadata), auth identity (email/session), billing posture and credit-ledger events, waitlist emails, and basic product telemetry/error reports. We do not ask for SSN or full payment-card PAN on marketing or guest surfaces.
• How we use itTo run your desk, route Agency in a Box agents, apply the compliance gate, meter credits, process placements and payments through connected processors, and improve reliability. Desk data is for operating Owedly — not for an advertising profile.
• Collector and recruiter profilesTo save your onboarding progress and prepare your qualification path, we store your chosen role, profile name, work location, languages, collection experience, account types, credentials you enter, and equipment readiness. We also store your assessment answers, results, curriculum version, and attempts so you can resume qualification. Your profile is for Owedly and the service providers needed to run onboarding. Clients cannot browse it to hire or contact you directly. You can edit your profile from collector onboarding. If you choose Use my location, your browser asks for location permission and sends your device location directly to BigDataCloud to identify your country and state or province. Owedly saves only the country and region in your profile, not the coordinates; entering your location manually is always available. Use the privacy contacts below for access or deletion requests, subject to law and legitimate retention needs.
• Local appearanceOur hosting provider estimates a general area from your IP address so the site can reflect nearby daylight and weather. The weather service receives rounded regional coordinates from Owedly's server, not your IP address or account details. The scene service does not add location to your account. Estimates can be inaccurate, especially with a VPN. You can choose Light or Dark in Appearance.
• We do not sell PIIWe do not sell personal information. We do not rent consumer or debtor lists. Processors and infrastructure vendors (auth, database, hosting, payments) see only what they need to provide the service under their own terms.
• Security (high level)Data in transit uses TLS. Data at rest relies on our cloud providers’ encryption. Access to desk routes is session-gated. We still expect you to protect your login and limit who you invite to a desk.
• RetentionWe keep desk and ledger records as long as your account needs them for collections operations and legal holds you request. You may ask us to close a desk; some logs may remain for security and dispute resolution.
• Your choicesUpdate profile data in-product where available, clear a file when the product allows, or contact us to request access or deletion subject to law and legitimate retention needs.
